I've been terminally online for ~40 years, long before the big endless scroll. I've seen things some people wouldn't believe. 1200 baud modems on fire from Usenet flame wars. I watched c-news servers stutter at the mere mention of Kibo. All those moments will be lost in AI slop, like tears in rain. Time to deshittify.
We hide our discomfort and sense of not being able to do anything. Some hide it in humour. Maybe some of you at the coal face can step up and do an action.
Not protesting, that's just distraction for the news cycle.
@beka_valentine It's like the old school juvenile science fiction section in the library. Just reset your expectations with that in mind. (I'd rather have more Lower Decks, or a live action lower decks)
So, Starfleet Academy. I don't hate it. It has potential. It's no Strange New Worlds, or even Lower Decks, both I would like to have infinite seasons of.

Last few seasons of Discovery (they time travelled forward of course) were about this and resolving dilithium problem, then starting the building back.
