@ZenHeathen TNG first season was pretty bad too, IIRC. For many reasons, it took a while for the writing and acting to figure out what they were doing and become it's own thing related to but not really a continuation on TOS. I'm going to soldier on through the rest of this first season and see how I feel about it then.
