My most trouble free (writes immediately with no fuss) is a Parker vacumatic from the 1940s. Love the look of it's celluloid layers.

@scuttlebutt That's gorgeous! I don't use fountain pens anymore because computers (and I'm left handed), but I still kind of want it.

Emerald pearl. Gorgeous. I have a first generation Golden Pearl from 1937 with a flexible nib. Best writer I have!

@backtoanalog That picture isn't my copy (but it is the same model I think). I think mine is from 1945. I have an amber / brown one as well.
