@randomwizard I tend to play thieves, but actually detest higher levels when reliable talent etc come into play (5e). Sweet spot is around levels 4-7 for what I like. Which is a very real danger of sometimes needing death saving rolls or something more catastrophic.
At higher levels I sometimes take unreasonable chances / actions on things when I'm getting bored with the typical combat tactics, just to put my character into danger that the other characters may pull out of their current fight focus to come rescue me.
